Blood on President Aquino’s Hands

December 22, 2010

The communist New People’s Army massacred 10 soldiers and a little boy on December 15, 2010. The commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Noel Vestuir said: “They took advantage of the announcement of the ceasefire. The soldiers were pulling out of the area and they were treacherously ambushed.” [1]

10 soldiers and a little boy butchered in cold blood, ambushed, unprepared because they were in preparation for a supposed ceasefire championed by our president. Are our men to be butchered without retaliation or justice? According to the Aquino government, yes. The official government statement regarding the massacre states:

“The Philippine government would like to emphasize that in spite of this incident… we remain steadfast in our commitment to honor the agreed upon suspension of military operations.” [2]

An incredible amount of expletives are conjured up in my mind as I read that. The Aquino government has without shame shown the world that his regime has absolutely no commitment to justice. Let me repeat this, 10 soldiers and a 9 year old boy were slaughtered in cold blood and our government will not pursue the people who committed the act. This is Aquino’s “peace.”

In the perverse cowardly mind of our president, peace with the communists can only be achieved by letting them kill as many people on our side as they want without retribution. What other result could he have possibly gotten but this massacre? Did he expect good will from a group of people who’ve consistently bombed, kidnapped and killed innocent Filipinos for decades? He extended his hand to murderers and thieves, and expected honor from them?

This slaughter, the deaths of 10 soldiers and a little boy is on his hands. These are the fruits of his appeasement.

The ambushed of the soldiers and a boy was the prize the Aquino government got from the release so-called “health workers of Morong 43″. No matter how many political prisoners Penoy would release, these communist group will never give in. Penoy should have learned from the administration of his mother Cory who releases Jo Ma. Sison, Jalandoni et al, but they did not cooperate with her administration. They even went to The Netherlands and set up their office there. I really pity all the military and police personnel who had died because of this atrocities displayed by these commies. May they rest in peace.

Noynoy Aguino is no different from previous president. They do not know whom they are dealing with. Yes, if they know but they do not know how to deal with them properly with right philosophy and principles.

Who gains when evil is appeased? Hint: it isn’t the good guys. Thank you Joshua for speaking out for justice.

What the world needs now more than anything is a philosophy based on reason and that philosophy is Ayn Rand’s Objectivism.

it is hopeless to expect from pnoy to pursue justice for inocent pilipinos, as he had shown disrespect to juditial system. what he have been doing for the past few months giving amnesty to soldiers that tried to topple the govenment during the last administration, disregarding the effect to peace and economy during the time.did any body have an idea how much it cost to damage to property and tourism included? letting a general steal from the country and given a chance to post bail and keep the rest of the money to himself.

I see that the Philippines are facing the same type of cowardly, evil enemies that Israel faces in the Middle East. Appeasement only proves to one’s enemies that one is weak. Justice demands that the Philipine government not let the communists get away with this atrocity. For the principles of winning wars see John David Lewis’s “Nothing Less than Victory” and also Elan Journo’s “Winning the Unwinnable War”.

Joker Arroyo wasn’t joking when he said, “Malacañang runs the government like a student council.”

Interestingly, PNoy’s father maintained ties with the left. http://www.josemariasison.org/?p=3225

Im a pro in Pnoys Administration, but this one so wrong, so unacceptable…

RIGHT! Pnoy may have the best intentions in mind but the results proved otherwise. Personally, I would rather that the government declare an all-out war with all these commie terrorists. No amount of peace talks nor ceasefires would end their atrocities as they have proven time and again. I hope the government would cancel the passports of Joma Sison and the likes of him …. or is he already a Dutch citizen?

First I would like to sympathize with the families of those who were killed. What the rebels did was wrong, and I hope justice will be served. But I don’t see Pres. Aquino’s act of honoring the suspension of military operations as a sign of injustice. By honouring the agreement, our president is not stooping down to the level of thinking of the rebels. I remember an old Filipino saying “Pag binato ka ng bato, bigyan mo ng tinapay”. What I see with the Presidents approach of bringing peace, is not to fight fire with fire. This is embodied in “Oplan Bayanihan”:
    http://www.gmanews.tv/story/208850/afp-unveils-new-anti-insurgency-plan
Under the new plan, the military will “focus on winning the peace, rather than simply defeating the enemy,” David said, even as he sought public support for the military’s efforts to address the country’s various security threats.

For the past 40 years, the Philippines has been fighting communist and Moro rebellions that have killed more than 160,000 people, displaced millions and hampered the development of the resource-rich country.

Under Bayanihan, troops will shift from combat operations to civilian-military work, such as building roads, schools, clinics and potable water systems in conflict areas across the country.

“We shall embark on a paradigm shift,” said David of the new plan.

Yes, I agree as well! It is the direction, not the intention, that leads us to our destination. Pnoy may have good intentions especially with regards to peace, but the direction of administration reflected on its decisions seems to be on the wrong way.

    • fountainhead on December 28, 2010 at 9:10 am

Before you can have a direction, you must have a principles and philosophy guiding your directions. The principles and philosophy behind the Presidents directions must be identified clearly and well defined. What exactly is Pnoy’s principles and philosophy? He wants peace by having diplomatic relationship with the terrorist NPA. How are we going to deal with terrorist, criminals? Simple: they (terrorist) initiate the use of force, the government’s response is a full retaliation to the finish. You cannot deal force with smiling face.
